The hot sun can make it difficult to get a good even wash and dry if you do not have the proper tools and area. Below we have listed out a few helpful tips to follow if you plan on working your own vehicle this summer. Keep reading to learn more!
4 Tips for Washing Your Vehicle in Summer
- If you are able to, park your car in an open garage, under an overhang or in a shaded area to get it out of direct sunlight. This will allow the outside surface temperature of the vehicle to cool down, making it easier to wash.
- Look at the label of the product that you plan on using to wash your vehicle to see if it has anything listed about using in direct sunlight. Also, be sure to have all of your cleaning supplies gathered and close by so you can wash your car fluently.
- Wash the vehicle in sections. Start with the tires of the vehicle first before moving on to the next section. With the hot sun and weather, water evaporates quickly and can make it difficult to remove certain products from your car.
- Dry each section right after you have washed and rinsed it. This will also allow you to clean your car evenly and avoid the unpleasant water spots and streaks.
